01Local context
Energy in Moonee Ponds & the north-west.
North-west
The north-west mixes californian bungalows, post-war brick and newer estate infill. Larger family residences here often carry meaningful daytime loads, pools, ducted cooling, home offices, which makes self-consumption-focused solar design more valuable than export-oriented sizing, particularly where export limits apply.
System sizing in Moonee Ponds should start with your interval data, not a roof measurement. We model generation against your actual half-hourly usage so the array and any battery are sized to shift real consumption, indicative yields are confirmed against your roof's orientation and shading before anything is quoted.
Climate
Away from the bay, the north-west sees warmer summer afternoons and cooler winter nights, driving strong seasonal peaks in both directions.
02Network
Your local distributor.
Jemena
This part of Melbourne's north-west is typically served by Jemena. Connection requirements and export arrangements vary across the network and are updated from time to time, so we verify the current rules for your specific address at design stage.

Solar sized around daytime self-consumption
Battery storage for evening peak reduction
Efficient reverse-cycle heating and cooling
EV charger installation with load management
Whether you're planning a new build, replacing ageing gas appliances or adding storage to existing solar in Moonee Ponds, an assessment-first approach avoids the two most common mistakes we see: oversizing systems and buying equipment that doesn't suit the site.
