Reconnect Tesla Powerwall Wi-Fi

Reconnect Powerwall to the home Wi-Fi network from the customer Tesla app.

Your official monitoring app

Download the right app for Tesla

Use the app named in your Esena handover. These buttons open verified Apple App Store or Google Play listings.

Tesla

The official customer app for Powerwall and Tesla energy products. Do not install Tesla One.

Choose carefully: Use the official Tesla app for Powerwall customers. Tesla One is for Tesla employees, certified installers and partners—not customer monitoring.

Before you start

Have the Tesla app open, your home Wi-Fi password ready and your phone near the Powerwall/Gateway. Do not open equipment or reset a breaker.

  1. 01Open the Tesla app and select your home energy site.
  2. 02For first-time setup, choose Network Setup. For an existing connection, open Settings and choose Configure Wi-Fi.
  3. 03Select the home Wi-Fi network shown by the app and enter the router password carefully.
  4. 04Wait for the confirmation message, then return to the energy home screen and check the last-updated time.
  5. 05If the app cannot complete the connection, check that the home router is working and create a ticket with a screenshot. Do not use Tesla One or factory-reset the Gateway.

ImportantTesla’s customer Wi-Fi path is handled in the Tesla app. The exact screen names can vary by Powerwall, Gateway and app version; follow the label shown in your app rather than a generic inverter hotspot sequence.
