About 5 minutesPylontech blackout and manual changeover
Use the customer-operated changeover only when it is clearly labelled for your Pylontech installation.

Confirm the outage is real, check the battery percentage in the Pylontech app and locate the labelled GRID / BACKUP changeover switch.
- 01Turn off high-load appliances such as ovens, air conditioners, pumps, kettles and electric hot water before using backup power.
- 02If your Esena handover says the changeover is customer-operated, follow the label exactly. Move the switch from GRID / NORMAL to BACKUP / INVERTER only as shown—never force it or open the switchboard.
- 03Wait for the backup circuits to energise, then use only essential appliances. The battery must have enough charge and the backup output has a limited capacity.
- 04Check the Pylontech app for battery SOC, backup or overload warnings. Do not reset the battery or disconnect battery cables.
- 05When grid power returns and is stable, return the changeover to GRID / NORMAL using the labelled sequence. If the label is missing, unclear or the circuits stay off, call Esena on 1300 239 296.
ImportantBackup depends on the Force H3X/FH3X configuration and the circuits connected to its backup output. Exact switch positions are installation-specific.
