Take a screenshot while the reading looks wrong and note which large appliances are running.
- 01Compare the right units: live power is kW, while energy accumulated over time is kWh.
- 02Allow for background loads such as hot water, pool pumps, heating, cooling and refrigeration.
- 03Use the arrows to confirm whether the app says energy is entering or leaving the grid, then capture a screenshot.
- 04Compare the same complete day in the system app and retailer app. Retailer interval data may be delayed by a day or more.
- 05If direction remains reversed or consumption is implausible across repeated checks, create a ticket for meter and CT review.
ImportantRetailer billing data and inverter monitoring are measured at different points and intervals, so small differences are normal.
