Step-by-step guide
About 5 minutesApp data looks wrong, frozen or delayed
Check timestamps and refresh behaviour before treating an unusual number as a system fault.
Need the SOFAR monitoring app? Open the app articleBefore you start
Open the live screen and daily chart, then note the app’s last-updated time.
- 01Check the last-updated time. If it is old, the screen is showing historical data—close and reopen the app, then use the System offline article if it still does not update.
- 02Allow a few minutes for live arrows and totals to refresh. Different devices in the same system can report at slightly different times.
- 03Compare a complete day rather than adding live values. A tiny solar value after sunset or a brief unexpected arrow can be caused by delayed sampling or display rounding.
- 04Compare the same date in the system app and retailer app. Retailer interval data is often delayed and is measured separately from inverter monitoring.
- 05If the same implausible reading repeats, take screenshots showing the full screen, date, time and values, then create a ticket so Esena can review the meter and monitoring data.
ImportantDo not change meter, CT, export-limit or grid settings to correct an app display. Those settings require Esena or a qualified technician.
