Before you start

Have your original installation details, current battery capacity and any model or serial photos available if they are safe to view.

  1. 01Do not purchase or connect an extra battery module based only on available space or the current app capacity.
  2. 02Check the model name and current battery arrangement from your handover or a safe equipment-label photo.
  3. 03Note the current capacity shown in the SOFAR app, if available, and take a screenshot.
  4. 04Create a support request asking Esena to confirm compatibility, approved capacity, warranty and whether an onsite assessment is required.
  5. 05Wait for Esena’s approval and installation arrangement. Battery additions, firmware, protection and commissioning must be completed by an authorised technician.

ImportantSOFAR battery expansion is model- and installation-specific. Customers must not open battery enclosures, add modules or change battery settings themselves.
