Confirm the outage is real, check battery SOC in iSolarCloud and locate any clearly labelled GRID / BACKUP changeover switch.
- 01Turn off high-load appliances such as ovens, air conditioners, pumps, kettles and electric hot water before using backup power.
- 02If your Esena handover says the changeover is customer-operated, follow the label exactly. Move from GRID / NORMAL to BACKUP / INVERTER only as shown—never force it or open the switchboard.
- 03If your system has automatic backup, do not switch off the main supply yourself. Wait for the labelled backup circuits to transfer.
- 04Use essential appliances only. Only circuits connected to the backup output will operate and the battery has limited capacity.
- 05Check iSolarCloud for battery SOC, backup status and overload warnings. Do not change inverter settings or repeatedly reset a breaker.
- 06When grid power returns and is stable, follow the handover label to return to GRID / NORMAL. If the label is missing, unclear or backup does not start, call Esena on 1300 239 296.
ImportantSungrow backup wiring and changeover positions are installation-specific. Follow your Esena handover, not a generic internet sequence.
