Step-by-step guide
5–10 minutesSungrow battery not charging or discharging
Use iSolarCloud to tell normal reserve or schedule behaviour from a genuine battery issue.
Need the Sungrow monitoring app? Open the app articleBefore you start
Open iSolarCloud Site Overview and note the battery percentage, operating mode and any alarm.
- 01Check battery SOC, operating mode and any charge/discharge schedule shown in iSolarCloud.
- 02For charging, confirm there is surplus solar after household use. Cloud, shade or high home load can leave no excess energy.
- 03For discharging, check the minimum SOC or backup reserve. The battery should normally stop at the configured reserve.
- 04Record any alarm or temperature warning and take a screenshot before changing anything.
- 05If the battery still will not charge or discharge through a clear sunny period, create a ticket with the energy-flow, SOC and alarm screenshots. Do not change installer parameters.
ImportantSungrow protection, temperature and time-based controls can temporarily limit charge or discharge power.
